Intro

Long Tall Sally is a clothing brand dedicated eclusively to tall women standing 5'8" and above. They sought to expand its digital offering by launching an eCommerce app that would complement its existing website.

Thin Martian approached me to be the lead and only designer on this project. I was in charge of facilitating workshops, managing stakeholders, wireframing, prototyping and delivering final designs to dev team.

Challenge

The primary goal was to create a seamless mobile shopping experience that was intuitive, fast, and user-friendly. This meant designing an app that minimised friction in the purchasing journey, from browsing to checkout, while ensuring smooth navigation, secure authentication, and efficient integration with stock and ERP systems.

Solution

I designed a high-performance app from the ground up while following best practices in mobile commerce. The app features seamless user authentication, an enhanced checkout process, personalised shopping options to improve the user experience and In-app messaging for better user engagement. I also creatd a small design system to support future enhancements and feature expansions.

To ensure simplicity and efficiency, the design eliminates visual clutter and unnecessary information. Navigation is streamlined into five key sections, allowing users to complete actions quickly and effortlessly.

Results

Once the app was launched, it led to increased customer engagement, resulting in higher retention rates. It also significantly reduced cart abandonment, improving checkout conversions. Additionally, the seamless integration of stock and ERP systems optimised inventory management, making operations more efficient and streamlined.
