Business Services platform

Intro

Geniac is an all-in-one business services platform. A one-stop-shop for SMEs that integrates payroll, accounting, legal and HR services into a single platform. All in one place. All managed on their behalf.

I was brought in as a product designer to improve existing features on the platform and create new features to improve the overall user experience. My role included wireframing, prototyping, user testing and UI design.

Challenge

Geniac was launched as an MVP and rapidly gained a lot of attention. So much that Grant Thornton decided to invest £22m to develop the business.

The challenge was to keep the platform growing to meet GT and users expectations. Profitability, and a platform that integrates all the specialists and tools a growing business needs, giving business owners complete visibility, peace of mind and the time to get back to doing what they love.

Solution

During the time I spent in the Geniac team, we did design sprint workshops and often tested old and new features to improve the user experience.

I was responsible for creating a general dashboard for the users to be able to see their current status in all the services they had (incomings & outgoings, expenses, team members, admin tasks they need to do, etc.). And I also created a new feature for managing all invoices, both sales and purchases, as well as other small features and interactions.

Part of my job at Geniac was designing small animations and interactions to improve the general user experience.

Results

Users on both ends (business owners and accountants) were happy with the platform and the services provided, as well as with all the improvements and new features made from time to time.

Users praised constantly the expertise of the in-house experts and a very user-friendly interface and user experience. Claiming they could manage everything quickly and with ease.
